Lately I’ve been really into shopping my closet and getting more use out of the things I already have. I used to be uncomfortable with wearing the same item “too often,” but now I think it’s tres chic to have a few good pieces and wear the heck out of them. It’s also quite fun to come up with new combinations as it makes you fall in love with the items over and over.
While looking through my shoes the other day I came across these animal print booties that I bought 3 or 4 years ago. If memory serves me correctly, I’ve probably worn them less than 5 times. These shoes are super comfy and leopard is one of my favorite prints, so I really should have been pulling them out more often. In any case, it was a must that I put them in rotation and came up with this ensemble to give them some play.
I wanted to tie in the colors in the shoes without being overly matchy, so I paired them with my brown faux leather shorts and this comfy blush knitted sweater. I love mixing lengths as I think it’s an easy way to add dimension to an outfit, so I opted for a lightweight green duster coat which also gave a nice contrast.
